E.F. in Warsaw and then Stockholm

I've just arrived today in Warsaw to speak at tomorrow's Communities2Communities event and then to lead a discussion at Sunday's inaugural Warsaw Girl Geek Dinners event. I have never been to Poland before so it's a thrill to be here and I'm really excited about the conference and the GGD. While a bulk of tomorrow's sessions will be in the local language, there are a few of us non-locals here - Ingo Rammer, Udi Daihan and Allan Mitchell. I may discover a few more when I get to the conference tomorrow.

I've also just booked my flights to Stockholm where I'll be speaking at the Developer Summit 2009 in April.  I spoke at this event last year and became quickly enamored. It is not a typical .NET conference and I met lots of new people and came away with all types of new ideas about programming. There are a lot of domain driven programmers there. I also loved being in Stockholm. So I was happy to be invited back. This year, Brian Loesgen and Scott Bellware will be there also. Scott and I are both doing workshops on the final day (April 17) in addition to regular sessions.

My sessions will be on using EF in ASP.NET with ObjectDataSource and using EF with WCF. The workshop will expand on those and be a full day of using EF on the web ... issues to think about, options (including things like the EntityDataSource and Dynamic Data) and then we'll focus on ObjectDataSource, ADO.NET Data Services and WCF with some hands on labs.

Tomorrow's talk at C2C will be Entity Framework Tips & Tricks which will be a fun session for me and I hope a useful one for attendees.
