Entity Framework Documentation for VS2008 SP1

The starting point for EF in the online documentation is here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb399572.aspx

This will help! You'll need to dump your Internet Explorer Temp files if you are not getting SP1 documentation.

Otherwise you'll see Beta 3 and it will be obvious. Here is a screenshot of the new docs.

I'm really surprised that there aren't any EF books out already?

They are coming!

Hi Julie,I still get the Beta 3 docs at that URL.I did delete all the IE temporary files (not Cookies - just files) I also tried the Ctrl-Shift-Refresh trick.Still says Beta 3.Any suggestions?

Hi RichardI have actually had the old docs resurface occasionally which seems to be triggered by viewing particular documents.Someone on the MSDN Docs team told me that another person was getting this behavior and that "he had to delete his cookies (or hopefully just the MSDN cookies) to be able to consistently see the new content."So try that out (and definitely let me know if it works or not.Julie

Hi Julie,No dice.I didn't really want to nail everything.I tried a few attempts to just get the msdn[2].* stuff, but in the end I nailed all the temporary files and the cookies.Stopped/restarted IE.Still get the Beta 3 stuff.I'm always suspicious when folk tell me "You need to delete all your cookies and internet files."I tend to read it as a synonym for "I have no idea what your problem *really* is, but I want you to go away."

I'm not sure what to suggest. I even just looked to see if there was a forum for the MSDN Documentation on the MSDN forums. This doesn't look very active though.http://forums.msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/devdocs/threads/

Hi Julie,Even more bizarre.I was just working my way up to post in the EF forum (didn't have a better idea).I clicked on your link again, ready to copy and paste the URL.Whoa!!!I got to the SP1 docs instead of the Beta ones.Nope - I do not have an explanation. Thanks for letting me waste yout time and sorry for doing so.

if it makes you feel any better, when mine reverted to the beta3 docs, I didn't feel like doing the cookie thing at the moment and ignored it. A few days later it magically went back to SP1. There's a point where you just shrug your shoulders and move on, I guess. :-)
