There were three big things that the EF team could not get into the VS2010 box on time – POCO T4 Templates, Code-Only features (POCO without a model) and Self-Tracking Entities. Even though VS2010 is only in Beta 1, the way the release cycles work, these three things won’t be part of the RTM. But they are nearly ready and will be released a little out of band along with VS2010.
