Web Developer
Are you a savvy technical developer with a penchant to cozy up with the design crew? Are you able to talk pixels and relate it to code? Can you speak in wireframe?
We are looking for a design centric web developer that can turn wireframes and rad design into totally dialed web pages. You would be working with our development team, which is responsible for all things related to web site development for Burton’s various web properties. In addition, you will work with designers, project managers, and other developers collaborating, planning, developing and deploying bleeding edge web applications. You will need to be someone who is smart, wants to learn RIA, can communicate effectively with developers and designers, and can code.
Required Skills
- 1+ year development experience
- Design collaboration experience – working with creative folks on the design side to implement their vision
- HTML
- CSS, especially related to cross browser compatibility
- communication skills
- Some experience in one of the following: .Net, Flash / Flex / AS3, Java / JSP / AJAX
- Demandware Experience, AS3, Flash, & Flex are also nice to have

Sr. Flash Developer
Do you have Flash skills? Do you dream in ActionScript? Do you breathe Flex? If so, keep reading…
We are looking for someone to lead all things related to flash development for Burton’s various web properties. You will work with designers, project managers, and developers to plan for, develop and deploy bleeding edge Flash/Flex-based applications. Qualified candidates must have experience developing large scale data driven Flash/Flex applications as well as implementing and enforcing AS3-development standards and best practices.
In addition, you will provide technical leadership, feedback, mentoring and AS3 architectural oversight. This candidate should excel in all aspects of the Flash/Flex/AS3 development skill set. Ideally (although this is not a requirement), this candidate would be an experienced software engineer who has migrated to expert-level ActionScript development from a background in one or more traditional object oriented languages. This is an AS3 position focusing on new development in a fast paced environment. This candidate should have the ability to deliver projects successfully and on time with little oversight required.
