Next week I'll be doing a Live Meeting based presentation for the Florida.NET - they are calling it Fort Lauderdale Online.
The presentation will be Entity Framework Core Concepts, something I think people seem to want out of every EF session I present. Therefore, I decided to create a whole session just around the concepts.
I find presenting to my computer screen to be a very strange experience, but it also means that I get to stay home and enjoy some of the early June flowers in Vermont instead of getting on a plane and flying down to Florida.
Plus it's green and saves lots of money!
Here is the abstract:
ADO.NET Entity Framework is an important part of Microsoft key strategy for data access going forward. This introductory session will provide you with a basic understanding of why Entity Framework exists, how it can be used in your applications today and what to expect in future versions of the product. This no-potholes-barred session will ensure that you not only have an understanding of value of EF and the EDM, but also a road map of some of the pitfalls you will encounter as you face version 1. Note that this session will be provide more concept than code.
I'm especially looking forward to this because I will also be able to include info about EF4.
