In January, I got very excited about Soma's announcement that Microsoft was finally going to update the ancient bitmaps and other graphics included for reuse in our development tools. I think I have been using the same ones since 1995!
Remembering that recently, I thought I would go dig around my Beta2 bits to check them out...but can't find them anywhere in this most recent install. I started looking inside the "Common7" folder where they have always been and then finally just searched the entire Microsoft Visual Studio 8 folder. To no avail. Hopefully the plans are still there and we'll have these by release???
Update: Thanks to Wesner's comment, I looked harder. (Wesner has been a compatriot in the campaign for new icons!) No they weren't installed. So I went back to the install DVD and finally found what I was looking for!! After updating my installation, the zip file was exactly where Mike said it would be.
