It's been pretty tough this week to think or blog about anything other than the ongoing tragedy in the Gulf Coast. I have done a lot of that on my personal weblog.
Of note (on my radar) in the developer community blogs is Microsoft's Sara Ford who has been blogging about the experience of her family and community where she is originally from in Louisiana.
Some .NET folks in Austin TX have been working on www.katrinasafe.com.
CapArea.NET user group leader, Scott Lock also happens to be a manager of the American Red Cross donations website. I hope everyone is keeping him busy!
I'm still hoping to hear from GNONUG (Greater New Orleans .NET User Group) leader Manuel Dennis.
Many of us in the developer lead fortunate lives - whether this is thanks to the privelege of good education or very hard work (and also a combination of both) . I know that many are finding ways to share and contribute - through volunteer time, financial donations, sharing information or however best works for them.
There is lots of interest technically going on in the .NET world - preparations for PDC, debates about Indigo and Mort, closing in on VS2005, a little scandalous stuff brewing over the Microsoft/Google rivalry and more. Stay tuned.
