Sounds like someone paid me to write that blog title, but they didn't. I have been creating presentations for upcoming user group events and DevConnections (what are weekends and nights for anyway?) and am using the new version of PowerPoint. I do this a lot, so PowerPoint is a critical tool for me. The design tools that are surfaced on the RibbonBar make it so easy for me to have lots of slick looking elements with shading and 3D and complementary colors in my presentation. I just realized that the first 10 slides in my ADO.NET Orcas Overview are all graphics! Which works for me. A picture is worth a thousand words and sometimes bullet points just don't do the trick. I'm guessing it's the QuickStyles that I'm getting the most mileage out of at this point. It automatically applies beautiful formatting to an element. In previous versions, I struggled with defining gradient effects. Another “Bravo!” for Office 2007.
